About Purple Sheep

Purple Sheep Clothing was founded six months after I had my first baby. I quickly realised that although there were plenty of shops selling baby clothes, finding items I actually wanted for my son was surprisingly difficult. Many popular retailers offered boys’ clothing covered in diggers, dinosaurs, or stereotypical slogans like “wild child” or “little monster.” They were just not for us! Likewise, girls’ clothing was often filled with princesses, unicorns, or endless shades of pink.

After doing some online research, browsing social media, and talking to other parents, it became clear that I wasn’t the only one struggling with this.

So, I decided to create a business that would let me dress my little boy in clothes I genuinely loved—while offering other parents stylish, non-stereotypical options too.

A Purple Sheep represents someone who refuses to be ignored or overlooked. They don’t blend in with the “white sheep,” yet they also aren’t cast out like the “black sheep.” Instead, they stand out as a powerful presence deserving recognition. Purple sheep clothing aims to do the same, standing out from other retailers becoming a favourite household name for baby and toddler wear across the UK.
